Macedonia has achieved a historic success yesterday – received an invitation for entrance in NATO.

The strategic goals and interests of our country are finally realized. Macedonia becomes the thirty member of NATO, and the Macedonian flag will be placed in front of the seat of NATO in Brussels. 

At the same time, Macedonia received a date for start of negotiations for full membership in the European Union.

In the past few months, Macedonia enters into a new time, a time of hope, victories and pride.

International community recognizes the positive changes in our country, as well as the dynamic process of reforms and promoting the social dialogue.

This is a great success for Macedonia, achieved with a strong desire for better present and future of our citizens.

This is why, I invite all of you to unite and celebrate the historic success of Macedonia to a big celebration. This civic celebration will be held in 15 cities across the country including our city. I invite all the citizens from Shtip but also all citizens from the region to come tomorrow at 9 PM on the square “Sloboda” in Shtip and together to celebrate our successes.
