The water supplying for communal and industrial needs on the area of Municipality Stip is done through captured sources from single local or group plumbing systems. The water supplying for communal and industrial needs is made by PD Isar with RU Water and sanitation with the activities: Production and distribution of water for drinking, collecting, purification and sewage disposal. Public water supply system was built in the city and in 4 more settlements (Tri Cheshmi, Karaorman, Dolani and Dragoevo). They are supplied from underground water which is a result from the infiltration of the river water of the river Bregalnica which through the hydraulic connection with the water-carrier beds is accumulated in the coast water basins.

From total 43652 citizens of the city of Stip on the water supply network are connected around 90 %.
The total number of the plug-ins is 12.791 from which 11.975 are for the households and 806 are for the industry.

The length of the water supplying network is 125 km and has the following structure:

The rural population in 43 settlements with a total 4642 residents supplies themselves with drinking water and communal needs from natural sources in most cases.
Other settlements solve the problem of water supplying through public fountains (from captured local sources) and individual or public pumps.
The water supplying of the citizens and the industry is a very significant factor in supplying the hygienic, health and life conditions for the population, economic factor in the industrial production and of course a base for the future  development of the city.

As an indicator of increasing the market are the citizens of the city whose number according to the made evaluations in the General Urban plan, in 2010 would be 50.546 citizens.
The broadening of the area, on which the department will provide services, will follow the realization of the urban plans, as well as joining the city water supply system on the existing settlements which water supply themselves from other sources.
