Mayor of Municipality Shtip, Blagoj Bochvarsju, addresses a greeting to all the citizens of Municipality Shtip on the occasion of Independence Day of Republic Macedonia-8^th of September, where he says:

„Allow me in my personal name and on behalf of Municipality Shtip to congratulate you the 8^th of September-Independence Day of Republic Macedonia, Day of the historical “YES” to all the citizens of Republic Macedonia which means an independent, sovereign state. 

27 years Macedonia shows maturity for an independent state. Throughout years, we all jointly pass through different temptations, we are passing through many successes and failures, and we build friendships that we need.

Macedonie today is facing another historical decision and the citizens are the most important crusade: to be or not to be. If in 1991 we voted for independent and sovereign country, today we are in front of a decision where is our country going in future.

The history is written by those who decide, not those who hide themselves. We are that generation which needs to carry a decision about the future of our country. Today we are welcomed to join families we share common values and principles, which are: democracy reforms and rule of law.

Let’s stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s powerful countries.

As in 1991, we still believe that our citizens will adopt a wise and state decision, a decision that will make everyone proud, a new September 8^th for the future generations.

At the very end let me once again congratulate the Day of Independence and at the same time I wish you a pleasant and festive mood”, says the congratulatory note of Mayor Bochvarski.
